Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd and the Nantou County Government jointly responded to Tzu Chi's 'One Day Vegetarian per Week' initiative,which has successfully concluded.
In response to environmental protection and the implementation of a low-carbon lifestyle,Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd has joined hands with the Nantou County Government and Tzu Chi Foundation to promote the "Vegetarian Day Every Week" initiative, encouraging employees and county government staff to embrace vegetarianism for the planet. Since the initiative started last November, 24 vegetarian meals have been provided, totaling 6,636 servings, equivalent to planting 442 trees, clearly demonstrating the company's commitment to a sustainable environment.We would especially like to thank the four groups of volunteers from Nantou, Caotun, Zhushan, and Puli, as well as the dedicated staff who have supported this initiative with great effort, making the vegetarian day filled with warmth and inspiration. Choosing vegetarianism is not only a healthy option but also a merit for protecting life. Employees not only support vegetarian meals at the company but also bring this concept back home, with some even taking the initiative to record recipes and learn cooking to convey compassion and environmental consciousness through their actions.In the future,Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd will continue to fulfill its corporate social responsibility, implement the principles of ESG sustainable development, promote an environmentally friendly and inclusive society, and work together towards a better future.
